Welcome to summer in Chicago. Every summer seems to bring its
own identity and the summer of 2008 is no different. Call this the "summer of frustration" if you will.
Unfriendly skies and high gas prices have made the traditional summer vacation drudgery. So what do we say at China
Doll? Come stay with us and we will give you a $25.00 gas card for each night of your stay to allay the pain. You
don't even have to drive to China Doll. Come visit, shake off your cares and relax. The gardens are blooming in
anticipation of welcoming our guests. We enhanced our web site over the winter and now all of our properties are

You will also see that we have added something new—our Partner
Properties.
There are occasions when we are unable to accommodate all our guests on their desired dates at any of our China
Doll properties. This year we have added the ability to accommodate guests at our new Partner Properties. (Click
on the map
to see the locations.) We have a few carefully selected properties that we can offer to our guests when we are
full or when our guests need to be in other neighborhoods. All of these properties have been personally inspected
and approved. While not identical to China Doll in terms of services and amenities, we are confident that our guests
will enjoy a comparable experience to their stays at China Doll. |

While visiting our web site, note the box listing some of the
events happening in Chicago. The city has much to offer beyond the largest parks and museums. Other links will
present some of the city's many attractions.
Click on the neighborhood attractions link, and you will find that Jim and Yanan have listed their local favorite dining and shopping
spots—local knowledge at its best! To top it off, some merchants will feature discounts for China Doll guests.
In addition, you can shop the local farmer's market, go to the (free) zoo, and the Nature Museum. Finally, wrap
up your day with a walk on the beach and experience the view.

China Doll is taking major steps toward becoming green. One
of the first things we are doing for our guests is providing filtered Chicago water in our units. In March 2008,
China Doll began installing Aquasana® water filters at our kitchen sinks. It’s an effort to Reduce and Reuse
by offering filtered tap water instead of bottled water. Bottled water is not subject to the same FDA standards
as tap water, so there are no assurances or requirements that bottled water be any safer or better than tap water.
And we all know where the bottles go – millions of bottles end up in landfills daily! |

Besides our new water filters, China Doll supplies each apartment
with our own China Doll sport bottles… so guests can take their filtered water with them!
